Changemaker Network Community Standards
Effective date:
March 26, 2026
By joining the Changemaker Network, you are agreeing to follow the Community Standards listed below. All enrolled participants are expected to follow these standards at all times. Reference these standards if you are ever unsure about expected Changemaker Network etiquette.
Stay Engaged:
Your engagement matters! Your active participation and contributions make the Changemaker Network a better community resource for all members.
If a scheduling conflict arises and you can’t make your assigned match for the week, please use the proper cancellation channels to reschedule your match. Multiple no-shows may result in removal from the Changemaker Network and cancellation of your service.
Remain Curious:
As a 1% for the Planet Member, you have exclusive access to a community of climate-committed leaders solving real business challenges. The Changemaker Network gives members access to the real-world expertise inside the 1% for the Planet community so they can enhance climate impact, increase revenue, reduce operational and climate risk, improve cost efficiency, and build credible market differentiation. We ask that you remain open-minded, welcome the unexpected conversations, and lean in to the themes of each match round. The Changemaker Network may offer opportunities for tangible business connections and ROI, but our priority is to create a space where you have important conversations that might not otherwise happen given timezones, geographic location, expertise, or scope of work.
Connecting outside the platform:
Members enrolled in the Changemaker Network can opt in to share preferred contact information via their network profile so that connecting after a match is easy and straightforward.
We also recommend agreeing on ways to connect as the last discussion point in your match conversation.
Be Inclusive. Be Kind.
1% for the Planet is committed to making sure the Changemaker Network provides a friendly, safe, and welcoming space for members to connect with each other.
Use inclusive vocabulary (pronouns, etc), be kind to one another, and be open to varied experiences and perspectives.
Enrollment Requirements:
All members of this program must be associated with an active 1% for the Planet business membership that is in good standing with all membership requirements (current on certification and renewals). If the associated membership lags at any time, participants will be notified and removed within 30 days unless the membership is brought back into good standing.
Removal:
We have a zero tolerance for harassment of any kind. Absolutely no derogatory language related to a person’s gender(s), sexual orientation or preference(s), physical or mental ability, race, religion, political ideologies, and life choices, including those of a financial, employment, or health-related nature, is permitted. Anyone who engages in this behavior will be removed immediately. 1% for the Planet reserves the right to issue warnings or remove any member of the network for not following these Community Standards.
All participants of the Changemaker Network must be approved by 1% for the Planet and associated with an active 1% for the Planet membership or partnership that is in good standing.
Engaging in anything that can be construed as advising others to break the law is unacceptable and will result in immediate removal of any member from the Changemaker Network.
